Dentures are removable replacement teeth that restore chewing, speech and your smile when several or all teeth are missing, and they can also be clipped onto implants for a firmer fit. At GIA Clinics in Vijayawada, dentures are planned by Dr Sai Santosh at both our Gunadala and Gurunanak Colony clinics, with Dr Pravalika Mogili at Gurunanak Colony.

Your first visit answers this properly, with an examination and, where needed, a scan, before you commit to anything.
We check your gums, any remaining teeth and the jawbone, and talk through full, partial and implant options.
Visit 1Detailed impressions are taken of your gums and any remaining teeth.
Visit 1 or 2We record how your jaws meet and choose the tooth shape and shade with you.
Visit 2You try a wax version of the denture so we can check fit, bite and appearance before it is finished.
Visit 3The finished denture is fitted and you get care instructions. Small adjustments are common in the first weeks.

Most people adjust within a few weeks. Speaking and eating feel easier with practice, starting with soft food cut small.
Yes. A denture can often be clipped onto two or more implants so it moves less while eating and speaking.
Usually no. Taking them out at night lets the gums rest. Clean them and keep them in water or a soaking solution.
The gums and bone change shape over time, so dentures may need relining or replacing after some years. Regular check-ups help.
