PRP (platelet-rich plasma) and GFC (growth factor concentrate) therapy use a concentrate prepared from your own blood, injected into the scalp to support thinning hair. At GIA Clinics in Vijayawada it is planned by Dr Sai Santosh, a maxillofacial surgeon with MCHT hair transplant training, after a scalp microscope assessment. It is available at both our Gunadala and Gurunanak Colony clinics.

Your first visit answers this properly, with an examination and, where needed, a scan, before you commit to anything.
Dr Sai Santosh checks your scalp with a microscope and asks about hair fall, diet and health.

Both are made from your own blood. PRP uses the platelet-rich part of the plasma, while GFC is processed further to concentrate the growth factors.
Many people notice less hair fall after a few sessions, and changes in thickness usually take three to six months. Results vary from person to person.
PRP is most useful where follicles are still active. Fully bald areas usually need a hair transplant instead.
Most people return to normal activities the same day. The scalp may feel tender for a day or two, and you are usually asked not to wash your hair for a few hours.
