If you need an emergency dentist in Gunadala, Vijayawada, call GIA Clinics Gunadala on 090772 93949 before you set out. The clinic is open every day, Monday to Sunday, from 10 AM to 8:30 PM, and a quick call lets the front desk tell you how soon a doctor can see you. We are not a 24-hour service, so the advice further down covers what to do outside those hours.
Go to a hospital first if
- Swelling is spreading to your eye, neck or under your tongue
- You are struggling to breathe or swallow
- You have a high fever with facial swelling
- You had a head injury with loss of consciousness, vomiting or confusion
- Bleeding will not stop after firm pressure
These need a hospital emergency team, and dental treatment can follow afterwards.
Call us the same day for
- Severe toothache that painkillers do not settle
- A knocked-out or badly loosened tooth
- A broken tooth with sharp edges or pain
- A swollen gum or an abscess
- A lost crown or filling that is causing pain
First aid for a knocked-out adult tooth
Time matters most here. Hold the tooth by the crown, not the root. If it is dirty, rinse it briefly with milk or water, and do not scrub it. If you can, place it back into its socket and bite gently on a clean cloth. If you cannot, keep it in cold milk and call right away. Do not try to replant a baby tooth. Call for advice on that instead.
Other first steps
For pain, take a painkiller you normally tolerate, and do not place tablets against the gum. For swelling, hold a cold pack on the outside of the cheek. Keep any broken pieces of tooth and bring them along.
Who is here
Dr Sreeja Lakshmi and Dr Lalitya Dandamudi see patients from 10 AM. Dr Sai Santosh, our oral and maxillofacial surgeon, is in from 12:30 PM for injuries and surgical problems.
After hours
If it is late and you can wait, send a WhatsApp to 090772 93949 and call as soon as the clinic opens. If you have any of the hospital signs above, do not wait.
