Hair Fall Treatment in Vijayawada

Consultation room at GIA Clinics Gurunanak Colony

Good hair fall treatment in Vijayawada begins with one question that bottles of oil and shampoo cannot answer: why is your hair falling? Shedding after an illness, slow thinning that runs in the family and a sudden round bald patch are three different problems. They do not respond to the same treatment, so GIA Clinics starts by looking at your scalp rather than selling you a course.

Some shedding is normal

Everyone loses hair daily, and you may notice more after an illness, stress or a change in diet. It is worth having it looked at if your parting is widening, your hairline is moving back, the crown is thinning, or hair is coming out in patches.

What the assessment involves

Dr Sai Santosh checks your scalp under a microscope to see hair density, thickness and how active the loss is. He will ask about your hair fall, diet and health, and whether others in your family are affected. Sudden or patchy loss needs its cause checked before anything else, and that may mean tests or seeing your physician.

The options, from least to most involved

Treating the trigger. If the assessment points to a health, diet or medicine cause, that comes first. Injections will not fix a problem that sits elsewhere.

PRP or GFC therapy. For early to moderate thinning where follicles are still active, a concentrate made from your own blood is injected into the scalp, usually over a course of sessions. Many people notice less hair fall after a few sessions. Changes in thickness usually take three to six months.

Hair transplant. Where hair has been lost from an area and there is enough donor hair, FUE transplant moves healthy follicles to it. Injections can also support a transplant.

What we will not promise

No treatment works for everyone, and no honest clinic can promise regrowth. Treatment supports hair that still has active follicles. It cannot bring back follicles that have gone.

What you can do now

Take photographs of your hairline and crown in the same light, so changes can be compared. Note when the hair fall began, and any illness or new medicine around that time.

Questions

Common questions.

How do I know if my hair fall is serious?

A widening parting, a receding hairline, thinning at the crown or round patches are all worth checking. An assessment will show how active the loss is.

Will hair fall stop by itself?

Sometimes, for example after an illness. Pattern hair loss tends to continue, so it helps to find out which kind you have.

Does stress cause hair fall?

It can contribute to shedding. Dr Sai will ask about your health and recent events as part of the assessment, because several causes can overlap.

Do you treat hair fall in women?

Yes. PRP and GFC therapy can suit women with early to moderate thinning, and the cause is checked first. Tell us if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
